Fabric Structures have always been my passion—from my early days as a labourer for a local tent company to delivering presentations on the engineering marvels of Frei Otto, the spark has remained alive. There is something uniquely compelling about how a lightweight fabric structure through its minimal surface expression seems to trace the bare essentials of physics, almost as a de facto aesthetic expression of physics itself. Although the market for architectural services tends to favour more permanent structures, as a registered architect, I want to revisit fabric architecture and how I might contribute to the field.
